🌿 What is a Glycerite?
Glycerites typically differ from traditional tinctures in that they contain vegetable glycerin instead of, or in conjunction with, grain alcohol. Our extract is created over a 6-week process that begins with a traditional grain alcohol extraction of our whole Egyptian Blue Lotus flowers, ashwagandha root, valerian root, and skullcap herb. This extraction is followed by the addition of vegetable glycerin at week 4 to guarantee maximum extraction of the medicinal compounds from the herbs and roots. In addition to improving the potency of the extraction, the glycerin also sweetens the tincture naturally, making it easy and enjoyable to drop directly under one's tongue, or into any drink or smoothie, without the harsh and bitter taste associated with traditional alcohol tinctures.
